EYES
EYES for Climate (Enhancing Youth Engagement Skills for Climate Actions) is a project that empowers people—especially young people—to become active agents of climate change mitigation in marginalized and suburban urban areas. It supports a shift from basic awareness to concrete involvement, strengthening partner organisations’ capacity for youth engagement and building young people’s knowledge and skills on climate impacts in urban contexts. The project also promotes the development of innovative neighbourhood responses to climate-related challenges.
Key activities include a youth engagement methodology and training framework, an on-the-job pilot test, Urban Labs to apply and test acquired competencies, demonstrative environmental actions, networking and scale-up, dissemination and communication, and project management with monitoring and quality control. In the long term, EYES aims to foster environmentally conscious, proactive citizens who can lead sustainable initiatives and influence local and wider climate action.
